We lovingly remember Uncle Bern’s twinkling blue eyes and warm, soft smile. We enjoyed his witty asides, playful humour and eloquent repartees which brought light to any occasion. Uncle Bern’s enthusiasm for life and desire to do what he could to spread his strong religious belief were ever present. His resilience to hold his own in lengthy discussions and if proved wrong, easily shrug it off was always refreshing. A family focused man, Uncle Bern was very attentive to his older siblings – Dora, mother to Derek and Richard and Stan, our father and their respective families. He meticulously organised celebratory events to bring the Norris clan together which everyone fully appreciated. Such reminiscences and more will remain with us as we remember Uncle Bern and the positive ways he has influenced both ours and many other lives. Maureen and Shelagh

Here is a memorial to my dad. Contraversial in life in many ways, he was, and still is, my only dad. To me he was a fountain of knowledge, a perpetual hugging machine, a person full of laughter and fun, as well as a loving and kind man. I miss him very much. I hope this site will bring his family and friends together and that we can share some memories, laughs and tears. May dad rest in peace until I join him!
